Olympics… Titans of Design?

Apparently, there’s big money riding on me being the first member of the We Love Creative blog team to muck things up for everyone else. Well, just to prove the boys wrong, here’s my first post… and I reckon it’s a cracker.

I’m kinda in love with the infographics for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. I tussled long and hard over this (I’m that sort of gal, as Sean will tell you) because the 1972 Munich Olympic pictograms are classics too… but Mexico City’s (designed by the awesome Lance Wyman) somehow combine the flavour of the country with a kind of kooky pop-art sensibility. Anyway check them out – simplicity is usually the best when it comes to design, I tend to find.
